Abstract
The age-old male domination in Indian society, gender discrimination and women empowerment have become an integral part of our socio-economics imbalance for sure. Since ages, we are discussing about how to empower women, a lot has been done and more we might be going to see in future even but,a woman’s journey from a ‘Home maker to an entrepreneur’ is still very challenging. Although the time has witnessed a change in the attitude of the society towards women education and early childhood marriages but a supportive attitude towards a woman willing to start an enterprise is yet to be witnessed. The present paper is a modest attempt to analyze the perception of women towards women entrepreneurship in India and what are the challenges in making them as a successful entrepreneur. The paper would also highlight the major government financial and non-financial support to women entrepreneurs in India.
